Queensland selectors will sweat on the fitness of Nate Myles before revealing their State of Origin III team on Monday.

Myles has not been named for Manly's Monday night NRL clash with the Dragons as he recovers from a knee injury that ruled him out of Queensland's series clinching Origin II win.

But selectors will monitor the 30 Origin veteran prop before confirming their squad for July 13's dead rubber in Sydney.

Myles' possible return has coach Kevin Walters contemplating an all-forwards bench for Origin III.

Myles may fill the interchange vacancy created by bench utility Michael Morgan's knee injury.

If Myles fails to prove his fitness, Walters looks set to revert back to naming another bench utility.

Manly's Daly Cherry-Evans and Canterbury's Moses Mbye are considered the most likely candidates.

The Queensland team will be named at 3pm in Brisbane on Monday.

Meanwhile, Queensland skipper Cameron Smith said the Maroons were primed for a rare series sweep in game three.

Smith and Queensland halfback Cooper Cronk warmed up for Origin III by putting on a clinic in Melbourne's record 48-6 NRL win over Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

"It would be great to win game three and that's the aim - every Origin game you want to win," Smith said of the prospect of Queensland clinching a fifth series whitewash.

"Kevvie will have us well prepared for game three."

Queensland will monitor the fitness of Brisbane winger Corey Oates who was concussed in the record loss to Melbourne.

Broncos prop Josh McGuire is clear to play game three if he registers an early plea to a dangerous throw charge he received for a lifting tackle on Melbourne's Dale Finucane on Friday night.

Possible Queensland game three line-up: Darius Boyd, Corey Oates, Greg Inglis, Justin O'Neill, Dane Gagai, Johnathan Thurston, Cooper Cronk, Matt Scott, Cameron Smith (capt), Nate Myles/Josh McGuire, Matt Gillett, Sam Thaiday, Corey Parker. Interchange: Daly Cherry-Evans, Jacob Lillyman, Aidan Guerra, Josh Papalii.
